Alton Davis Obituary

Mr. Alton Holmes Davis of Red Springs died Friday, May 13, 2016 in Southeastern Regional Medical Center at the age of 85. Mr. Davis was born in Robeson County on October 20, 1930 to the late Duncan Davis and Ida Bass Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Humphery Davis and his son, James Michael Davis. He is survived by his son, Stanley H. Davis and his wife, JoLynn of Red Springs; his brother, Lynwood Davis of St. Pauls; his sisters, Mary Barrentine of Lumberton, Hazel Dent of Lumberton; six grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Alloway Cemetery beginning at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2016 with the Reverend Bradley Boberg officiating.
