Mrs. Carol Love Pounds of Supply, formerly of Red Springs, passed away on August 31, 2017 at the age of 73. Mrs. Pounds was born in Robeson County on October 24, 1943 to the late Daniel Archie McDougald and Minnie Mearl Walters McDougald. A lover of animals, Carol found enjoyment in bringing in stray animals and making sure they were taken care of. Before moving to the beach, Carol enjoyed spending her time playing bridge with her friends back home in Red Springs. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dan Love and Morris Pounds, and her son, Randall Love. She leaves behind two sons, Ricky Love and his wife, Paula of Highfalls, Ronnie Love of Fayetteville; two sisters, Barbara Short and her husband, Gary of Supply, Brenda Reed and her husband, David of Lynchburg, VA; her brother, Danny McDougald and his wife, Rudene of Rockingham; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 5:00 pm in the Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 916 NC 73, West End, NC 27376.
