Dakota "Kota" Hunt of Shannon passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 18.Dakota was born in Robeson County on January 26, 2000 to Jody Lee Hunt and Melissa M. Hunt. Kota will be remembered as a fun loving guy that was extremely close to his family. He loved listening to music and always kept his friends and family on their toes.He leaves behind to cherish his memory, along with his mother and father; his brothers, Jody Lee Hunt, Jr, Jody Sanderson, O'Bryant Williams; his sisters, Autumn Locklear, Tyndall Hunt, Kimberly Hunt; his grandmother, Glenda Mauldin; his paternal grandparents, Sherman and Sarah Hunt; and his beloved fianc, Ainiyaa Locklear; six nieces and three nephews.The family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Avenue, Red Springs, NC.Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Westside Baptist Church in Red Springs, NC with Pastor Randy Locklear officiating.Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.
