David Locklear Obituary

Mr. David Locklear of Maxton passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017 in Laurinburg. Mr. Locklear was born in Scotland County on December 1, 1946 to the late Earl Locklear and Lessie Revels Locklear. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melanie Locklear Jones. He will be dearly missed. Mr. Locklear is survived by his beloved wife, Bernice Locklear of Maxton, 2 sons, David Anthony Locklear and his wife Phyllis of Pembroke, Perry Scott Locklear of Pembroke, 1 daughter, Carol Denise Bartolamaei and her husband Guy of Laurinburg, 1 brother, Earl Frank Locklear of Raeford, 2 sisters Bessie Cook of Greensboro and Lessie Mae Sanchez of Fl., 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, February,18, 2017 at Crumpler Funeral Home 220 E. 4th Ave. Red Springs, officiated by Rev. Israel Branch, Rev. Ivory Henderson, and Rev. Bertha Jones. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home from 3-5pm.
