Ms. Joanne Edwards of Red Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center at the age of 74. Ms. Edwards was born February 12, 1942 in Hoke County, to the late Connie Kenneth Edwards and Callie Honeycutt Edwards. She is preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Edwards. She is survived by her sons, David LeRoy Bowen, Jr. and Thomas Christopher Bowen, 3 brothers, Connie Kenneth Edwards, Jr., and his wife Reba, Johnny Lee Edwards and his wife Maxine, James Theadis Edwards and his wife Yvette, 2 sisters, Minnie Jean Terrell and her husband James, Frances Marie Edwards and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2pm, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Alloway Cemetery, with Reverend Brad Boberg officiating. The family will receive friends at the gravesite after the service and at other times at the home of Francis Edwards,119 Roberts Street Highlander Apartments, Apt. 5-C.
