Mr. Larry Gene Matthews of 3245 Princess Ann Drive, died Monday, November 14, 2011 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 67. Mr. Matthews was born in Wake County on March 17, 1944 to the late Grover Cleveland Matthews and Lettie Pearl Byrd Matthews. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Blount of Fayetteville; two sons, Larry Matthews, Jr. of Montana and Tracy Matthews and wife Emily of Cary, NC; two daughters, Angela Matthews Bonnet and husband Anthony of Cary, NC, and Crystal Matthews of Fayetteville, NC; a sister, Joyce Permenter of Wendell, NC; and 4 grandchildren The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Wilhide officiating. Burial will be in Parkton Cemetery.
