Dateline: Red Springs Mr. Leroy ( Lee) Walter Belmain of Red Springs died Thursday July 18,2013 in his home at the age of 79. Mr. Belmain was born in Ellsworth Maine on March 7, 1934 to the late Ira and Erna Johnston Belmain. He served in the US Army. Mr. Belmain was a member of the First Baptist Church of Red Springs and was the owner and operator of Merritt Grocery of Red Springs. Mr. Belmain is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Helen Merritt Belmain of Red Springs, NC; 3 daughters Sandy B. Caskey (Mark) of Red Springs, NC; Susan B. Dyer of Red Springs,NC; Sheila B. Atkinson (Donald) of Goldsboro, NC; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Don, Lee, Rachel, and Margaret, 5 great grandchildren Kyrsten, Michael, Nicholas, Isabella and Ava. A visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Red Springs A Memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, at the First Baptist Church in Red Springs.
