Lisa Whitfield Obituary

Mrs. Lisa Ann Locklear Whitfield, of Raeford, died October 18, 2016 at the age of 49. Lisa was born January 14, 1967 in Robeson County. She is preceded in death by her father, Monque Locklear. She served in the US Army and was employed with the Hoke County Sheriffs Department for many years and retired as an honorary deputy. Lisa grew up loving and playing sports. She even played football in middle school. Some of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her family. She loved watching her children and grandchildren grow and mature, and being a positive role model to all of them. Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her husband of 30 years, Patrick Whitfield, of Raeford, 3 daughters, Patricia Ann Whitfield of Raeford, Letricia Lisa Whitfield of Raeford, Monique Nicole Whitfield of Raeford, 3 grandchildren, Tavion Monque Malloy, Kaiden Lamar Blue, and Hera Kathaline Creek, her mother, Brenda Hammonds Locklear of Pembroke, NC, 2 brothers, Fitzgerald Locklear of Pembroke, NC, Harley Locklear and his wife, Alisha of Pembroke, NC, 1 sister, Monica Strickland and her husband Purcell of Pembroke, NC. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, October 22, 2106, at Berea Baptist Church 120 North Odum Street, Pembroke, NC. The family will receive friends after the service, at the church.
