Mrs. Regina Faye (Rogers) Sargent of Raeford passed away in her home on August 10, 2017 at the age of 61. Regina was born in Kershaw County, South Carolina on May 12, 1956 to Raphu Rogers and Annie Mae Scott Rogers. She will always be remembered for her unfiltered sense of humor and her love of beach music. Regina could always find peace at the beach and enjoyed walking along the shore looking for shark teeth. After retiring from Wal-Mart, and moving back home from Michigan, she attended Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church. Regina was preceded in death by her father, Raphu and her sister, Cindy Rogers. She leaves behind her daughter, Melissa Chason (Michael Council) of Fayetteville; her son, Willie Chason (Ashley Sheryl) of Fayetteville; her mother, Annie Mae Rogers of Raeford; her brother, Glenn Rogers (Sherry) of Hope Mills; her sisters, Kathy Long (Jerry) of Raeford, Sue Parnell (David) of Kinley, Debra Christian (Ray) of Avondale, AZ; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Edy, Michael, Willie, Waylon, and Delana. She also holds a special place in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends at Crumpler Funeral Home between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM on August 13, 2017 at the Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church with Pastor Roger Burns officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
