Mr. Calvin Theodore Davis of Red Springs passed away in FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 92. Calvin was born in Person County, NC on October 26, 1924 to the late Charlie W. Davis and Ella Lou Gentry. After serving in the Coast Guard and fighting during WWII, he married his wife, Mabel Smith and became a member of the Red Springs Baptist Church. He was the former owner/operator of Pembroke Furniture. Calvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mabel Smith Davis, three brothers and a sister. He is survived by his brother, Robert B. Davis of Laurinburg; his two sisters, Molly D. Smith of Laurinburg, Ann D. Hasty of Laurinburg; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 11 2017 in the Alloway Cemetery with the Robeson County VFW conducting military honors. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following service.
