Colin Lee Lovette danced joyfully into Heaven peacefully in his home on November 17, 2018. He was born on July 8, 1944 in Richmond County, NC to Edker and Marie Lovette and resided in Raeford. He loved God, his family and his country. Colin was an ordained deacon with Pittman Grove Baptist Church and a servant of his savior Jesus Christ. For much of his life he worked at Burlington Industries and Rockwell International as a skilled mechanic and his expertise was vital to business operations. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, taking care of his family and singing gospel music. Colin made a note to all of how 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting All Your Care Upon Him; For He Careth For You", made a change in his life forever. We know Colin would remind us today of Psalm 119:76 "May Your Unfailing Love Be My Comfort."Colin will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 56 years, Bobbie (Daniels) Lovette; his children, Michael Lovette (Denise) of Slidell, La; Steve Lovette (Jessica) of Charleston, SC; Julie Saunders (Drake) of Raeford; and Robert "Chris" Lovette (Jennifer) of Salisbury, NC. Also surviving Colin are his brothers Tommie Lovette (Shelby) of Deland, FL; Charles Lovette (Frances) of Inverness, FL; and his sister Linda Pittman (Barry) of Raeford.
