Delauris Ruby Beasley Ellis

Mrs. Delauris Ruby Beasley Ellis of Raeford passed away with her family by her side on March 26, 2018 at the age of 84.Mrs. Ellis was born in Hoke County on March 5, 1934 to the late Chester B. Beasley and Ruby Bowyer Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Lindberg "Lindy" Ellis and her brothers Chester B. Beasley and Jack Beasley. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She retired from Burlington Industries in 2000 after 47 years. She also worked for 10 years with Forever Kids Daycare.She is survived by her daughter Gail E. Jackson and her husband David of Fayetteville, NC, her son Lynn Ellis and his wife Lisa of Raeford, N.C , 2 grandchildren, Allyson Jackson-Steen and her husband Chet, Lucas Ellis and his wife Frankie, 5 great grandchildren, Caden, Easton, Ellison, Charlie and Cash, 3 brothers, Sam Beasley and his wife Patsy of Winston-Salem, Bucky Beasley and his wife Pat of Raeford, Wayne Beasley and his wife Carol of Raeford, and 5 sisters, Joyce Bostic of Raeford, Betty Simmons and her husband Jessie of Fayetteville, Barbara Daniels and her husband Earl of Raeford, Helen Jackson and her husband William of Raeford, and Mickey McNeill and her husband Tom of Fayetteville.A visitation will be held 1-2pm Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.A funeral service will follow at 2pm with the Reverend Toby Neal officiating.Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church 3699 US 401 Business Raeford, NC 28376 or Hospice Foundation of Hoke County, P.O.
