Dateline: RaefordMrs. Edelgard Emma Brum Chavis of Raeford, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home at the age of 78.Mrs. Chavis was born in Germany on April 5, 1940, to the late Ewald Brum and Berta Manthee Brum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Ray Chavis. She was loved by many.She is survived by a daughter, Laura Chavis of Raeford, NC, a granddaughter, Christine Price of Fayetteville, NC and two great grandchildren, Marleigh Champ and Ava Champ both of Fayetteville, NC, a brother, Gunther Brum of Germany.A private memorial service will be held later.
