Ellen Ruth Vick Currie

Mrs. (Ellen) Ruth Vick Currie of Raeford passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC at the age of 87.Mrs. Currie was born in Mt. Croghan, SC on April 30, 1930, to the late William Frank Morton and Myrtle Shue Morton. She was preceded in death by her first husband Angus Vick Jr. and her daughter, Susan Vick Leviner. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Mrs. Currie loved to work with flowers in her yard. She loved her family and friends, she never meet a StrangerShe is survived by husband Bill Currie of Raeford, a son Charles Vick and his wife Teresa of Wagram; one grandson, Josh Vick and his wife Grace Anne of Boiling Springs, SC; one great granddaughter, Harper Grace Vick of Boiling Springs, SC; three sisters, Lucille Capps of Laurinburg, Mary Jo Holland and her husband Lindy Wagram, and Connie Whitt of WagramVisitation will be held Saturday March 3, 2018 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2699 US 401 Business, Raeford.Funeral services will follow at 2:00 at the ChurchBurial will be in the Springhill Cemetery in WagramMemorials may be made to: Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2699 US 401 Business, Raeford, NCOnline condolences may be made at www.crumplerfuneralhome.com
