Julian Ann Wood Monroe

Mrs. Julian Ann Wood Monroe of Raeford, passed away June 22, 2017 at Open Arms at the age of 91. Mrs. Monroe was born December 6, 1925 in Cumberland County to the late Allen Wilton Wood and Kate Easterling Wood. She was a member of Galatia Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. She was also a member of the Rockfish Home Extension. She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas C. Monroe, her son, Joe A. Monroe and brothers Wilton, Donald, and Harold "Craig" Wood. Mrs. Monroe is survived by her son Ronnie D. Monroe and his wife Wanda of Raeford, 2 grandsons, Bryan D. Monroe and his wife Kelly of Raleigh and Jason Monroe of Raeford, 4 great- grandchildren Cara, Cameron, Grace, and Savannah Monroe of Raleigh, and her brother Marion Wood and his wife Virginia of Southern Pines. A visitation will be held Sunday June 25, 2017 from 2:00 -2:45 pm in the church parlor at Galatia Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Sunday June 25, 2017 at Galatia Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Brett Johnson and *QRE Herman T. Autry officiating. Interment will be at Galatia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
