Pierce Nelson Hawley

Mr. Pierce Nelson Hawley of Rockfish passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at the age of 92.Mr. Hawley was born on June 30, 1927 in Maysville, KY to the late Harry and Marie Hawley. He was preceded in death by his sibling, Harry Hawley Jr, Gordon (Duke) Hawley, and Jewel Jefferson. Mr. Hawley served with the US Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Rockfish Church of God. Mr. Hawley was the owner Rockfish Auto and Storage Building in Rockfish He was survived by his wife of 49 years, Nina M. Hawley of Rockfish, NC, two daughters Gwenann Vanover and husband Wes, Lisa Marie Hawley all of Dayton, OH. two sons, Randall Kevin Hawley and wife Carolyn of Dayton, OH Doug Browning and wife Marianne of Raeford, NC, one grandson, R.J. Hawley of Dayton, OH. two great grandsons, Adian and Jackson Hawley of Dayton, OH. a brother, General Douglas Hawley (Shirley) of Fl. Two sisters, Audrey B. Wilson of Maysville, KY and G.G. Benson and husband Paul of Lexington, KY. Several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Rockfish Church of God, 7869 Rockfish Road, Raeford, NC 28376The family will receive friends after the service at the church.In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to: FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374
