Betty (Nealy) Barefoot

Mrs. Betty Nealy Barefoot of Raeford went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at the age of 86.

Mrs. Barefoot was born on March 22, 1935, in Scotland County, to the late C.E. and Roby Nealy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barefoot, and her son, Eddie Barefoot. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Raeford.

Mrs. Barefoot is survived by her son, Randy Barefoot, of Raeford, NC; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Barefoot, of Matthews, NC; her grandson, Brandon Barefoot, and his wife, Leslie, of Morehead City, NC; her granddaughter, Ashley Barefoot, of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughter, Chelsea Hughes, and her husband, Brad, of Charlotte, NC; her four great-grandchildren: Hudson Barefoot, Harper Barefoot, Camden Hughes, and Beckett Hughes; her sister, Doney Hogan, and her husband, Russell, of Burlington, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Raeford. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Thomas Lee. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
