Evangelist Betty L. Hardaway age 71, the daughter of the late Sam and Mildred Willis, of Raeford, North Carolina became God’s Angel on Monday June 28, 2021. She was the Pastor of Jericho Deliverance Temple for over 40 years. Even though she grew up a sharecropper, she managed to become an entrepreneur and an owner of a slew of businesses. With the support of her loving husband, she was able to accomplish the American Dream and obtain wealth in her laundry business, dry cleaners, maintenance service and Hardaway’s Herb Garden. Her most notable accomplishments was being a Tele-Evangelist, Songwriter, Recording artist and Author. Up to her final moments and at the tender age of 71 she was working on publishing her second book.
She was a pillar in her community and the epitome of greatness. She put Raeford on the map! Even though Betty managed to oversee many businesses, she also served her community with her outreach ministry and food bank. She will truly be missed but never forgotten. Her legacy will live on for generations to come.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband Freeman Hardaway Sr, her children Herneitha Richardson (John), Ineitha Hardaway, Freeman Hardaway Jr. (Sylvia), “Ms. P” Perika Hardaway and Marcus Hardaway, her grandchildren Keisha, Paris, Mercedes, Serenity, Victory, Jeremiah, Patience, and Melanie, her great grandchildren Britain and Kamyiah, her sisters Daisy Willis and Bessie Bratcher and a host of other family, friends, prayer partners, members and all who loved her.
