Mr. Chesley Thomas Crouch, Jr. of Aberdeen (Hoke Co) passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Penick Village in Southern Pines, NC at the age of 93. Mr. Crouch was born in Hoke County on June 11, 1924 to the late Chesley Thomas Crouch, Sr. and Mary Ina Thompson Crouch. He was a farmer in Hoke County until he retired. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Strother Crouch and his sons, Tim Crouch and James Crouch. Mr. Crouch is survived by a son, David Crouch (Jan) of Calabash, NC ,2 daughters, Nora Summerlin (Larry) of Society Hill, SC and Rachel Wilson (Bill) of Cottage Grove, MN.,2 brothers, Ernest Crouch (Marie) of Carthage, NC., Hardin Crouch (Juanita)of Hampstead, NC., a daughter-in-law Deborah Crouch of Aberdeen, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-2:30 pm Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:30pm in Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Ashley Heights Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations in Mr. Crouchs memory may be to The Leukemia Society at donate.lls.org.
