Donnie Smith, Jr.

Mr. Donnie Smith Jr. of Raeford passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home.Mr. Smith was born in Horry County, SC on April 29, 1942, to the late Donnie Smith Sr. and Addie Belle Brown Smith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leroy Smith, Daniel Smith and Henry Smith.He was employed with Burlington Industries before he retired, a lifetime member of the Cumberland County Amateur Radio Operators and his hobby was spending time with his honeybees at the Smith Bee Farm.He is survived by his wife Carolyn T. Smith of Raeford, NC; two daughters, Lisa Turner and husband Jeff of Kings Mt, NC and Diane Lucas and husband Donald of Raeford, NC a son William "Steve" Smith of Fayetteville, NC; 2 grandchildren, GiGi Baxley, Chance Turner, 6 Step grandchildren, Jr. Lucas, Kimberly Lucas, Amanda Henderson, Crystal Walters and Amanda Wheeler; two great grandchildren, Madison and Skylar; 1 step great grandson Gabriel; a brother Wayne Smith of Vass, NC; three sisters, Elneta Jones of Conway, SC, Naimless Martin of Sumter, SC and Annie Belle Pittman of Raeford, NC his 4 legged daughter, "Girl" and Kitty Cat.A private memorial services will be held later.Condolences to the family may be made at www.crumplerfuneralhome.comVisitation:Wednesday, June 26, 2019 4:00 PM
