Dorothy Mae (Wallace) Scarboro

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Scarboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Quail Haven Retirement Village in Pinehurst at the age of 91.

Dorothy was born September 12, 1929, to the late Alex and Ellen Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Scarboro, her son Everette “Hoss” Scarboro, daughter-in-law Carol Scarboro, grandson Robert “Robbie” Scarboro II, her sisters and brothers. Dorothy was a homemaker raising 7 children. She was very sweet, kind, caring person enjoying spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, James Scarboro (Juanita) of Aberdeen, NC, Robert Scarboro (Sandy) of Aberdeen, NC and Jerry Scarboro (Dianne) of Raeford, NC; her daughters Margaret Burns (Johnnie) of Pinebluff, NC, Kathie Samples (Mike) of Whispering Pines, NC and Linda Patrick (Tim) of Pinehurst, NC, Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen, NC. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
