Obituary
Mr. C. Douglas Burke, of Raeford, NC passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the age of 75.
Douglas was born in Parkton, NC on May 02, 1948, to the late Colon and Susan Burke.
When he was younger, he enjoyed playing tennis and country dancing with his wife, Debbie. Douglas was a good cook and enjoyed going to the gym, learning Spanish, doing puzzles, electronics, and his cats. He was a very private person. He worked for the House of Raeford for 30 years, and McDonalds for over 20 years.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Debbie of 55 years, whom he loved with all his heart; two daughters Kathy Burke Denton (Tony), and Teresa Burke Conoly (David); grandchildren, Brett, Dylan, and Amber; and one great-granddaughter, Jade Holland; and one brother, Richard Burke.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, in the Raeford Cemetery with Pastor Terraine Francois officiating.
