Henry Everett Bowen

Mr. Henry Everett Bowen of Raeford went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the age of 88.

He was born in Scotland County on October 3, 1932, to the late Walter Prince Bowen and Donnie Sessoms Bowen. He is preceded in death by his brother, John Walter Bowen.

Everett was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church all his life and served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the church choir. He retired from Hoke County Sheriff’s Dept. and North Carolina Division of Prisons.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years Etta O’Lee Walters Bowen of Raeford; his daughter Gail Webb and her husband Lin of Fayetteville; his son Ricky Bowen and wife Sylvia of Raeford; four grandchildren, Keith Webb and his wife Erica, Valerie Webb, Jeremy Bowen, Kristy Nolan and her husband Kevin, four great grandsons, Conyer and Cameron Webb, Karson and Karter Nolan.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Bethel Presbyterian Church, with Rev. James Wilhide officiating. Family will receive friends at the home after the service.
