Howard Philip Roberts

Mr. Howard Philip Robert of Lumber Bridge passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at his home.

Mr. Roberts was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 11, 1934. At a time of great uncertainty and distress in our country, Phil valiantly served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. After a successful military career, he retired as a decorated U.S. Army Warrant Officer.

Phil was a compassionate Christian gentleman and friend to everyone he met. Beloved by his family and friends. Prior to the death of his wife, Jennifer, they attended West Fayetteville Baptist Church.

Survived by a stepdaughter, Jacqueline Whitbeck, two daughters Kathryn (Cindy) Diller and Tonia Boahn, and a son, DeWitt Howard.

Funeral Services will be held 1 pm on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Steve Swann of West Fayetteville Baptist Church will officiate. 

Full Military honors will be held at the gravesite.

In lieu of flowers friends are encouraged to make donations to Wounded Warrior Project.
