Jean Holt Buran

Dateline: North Wilkesboro Mrs. Jean Holt Buran, formerly of Hoke County died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the age of 51. Jean was born Shelby Jean Holt on March 28, 1959. She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm Delano Holt and her brother, Johnny Ray Holt. Jean was a woman with a huge heart, always giving more than she expected to receive. Jean never turned away anyone needing help and she would open her home and heart to them. Jean had a brilliant mind and anyone who had the chance to know her would tell you that she was one of the most genuine friends a person could have. In a testament to Jean's Heart and Resolve, when she was informed that the nursing career she was pursuing would lead her nowhere, she pressed on to eventually achieve her masters degree in nursing. Jean like the rest of the Holts, was blessed with the gift of gab. She could talk to you for hours non stop and with the tremendous passion and feeling she shared for Life.　 It is Our hope that the smiling, happy, talkative, and kind Jean pictured above, will be the Jean that will live on in all our hearts. Survivors are her husband, Frank Buran, her mother Betty Martin Shaw ,her brother, Michael S Holt,Also her nephew, Joshua D. Holt, her stepmother, Lennie M Bare,　and her stepsister Annette Pardue Byrd. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 until 12:30 pm at Crumpler Funeral Funeral Home in Raeford. A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Raeford Cemetery.
