Johnnie Randall Parnell

Mr. Johnnie Randall Parnell of Red Springs went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of 79.

Mr. Parnell was born in Robeson County on September 7, 1942, to the late Reginald E. Parnell and Mattie May Jordan Parnell. He was preceded in death by his wife Deloris Dell Talley Parnell, two brothers Donald Parnell and Bill Stevens. Johnnie was employed with the Town of Red Springs for over forty years.

He is survived by three daughters, Melinda Sue Parnell of Pembroke, NC, Melanie Parnell Desilets and her husband Jeff of Ocean City, MD, and Jonnie Parnell Lewis of Lumberton, NC. Six grandchildren Miranda Lowery, Mercedes Desilets, Luc Desilets, Megan Lowery, Randall Lewis, and Jacob Lewis; four great-grandchildren, Hayden, Paisley, Layla, and Brody; two brothers Doug Stevens and his wife Jane of Fayetteville, NC, and Robert Parnell and his wife Emma Jean of Washington. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 1:00 until 300 pm at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Philadelphus Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Red Springs, NC with Hedrick Jones officiating.
