Mr. Luther Ray Taylor of Raeford died, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in his home at the age of 68. Luther was born in Hoke County on December 17, 1948 to the late James Douglas Taylor and Iva Mae Taylor. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Northcot. He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Faye Horne Taylor of Raeford; four daughters, Cindy T. Leach (Kirk) of Raeford, Donna T. Graham (James) of St. Pauls, Sonya McLaughlin of Orrum, Lillian Hardin of Lumberton; his son, Mark McLaughlin (Tammy) of Lumberton; four brothers, J.C. Taylor (Debra) of Charlotte, Howard Taylor (Joan) of Charlotte, Ronnie Taylor (Kay) of Raeford, Roy Lee Taylor (Debra) of Charlotte, three sisters, Shirley Russ (Tracy) of Charlotte, Susie Cameron (Ronnie) of Raeford, Becky Johnson (William) of Raeford, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford. Funeral service will be held 1pm on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Raeford Church of God of Prophecy, 913 West Prospect Ave in Raeford. Interment will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
