Patricia "Pat" Brock

Patricia "Pat" Brock of Boiling Springs, SC formerly of Raeford, NC passed away March 14, 2022, after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis at age 77.  She was born to George and Esther Besse at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC on June 5, 1944.  She was predeceased by her mother and father and a brother, Stanley Besse.  She is survived by her former husband, Harold Brock of Rockfish, NC, her only child, Dr. Donna McGee of Boiling Springs, SC, her sister and her husband, Connie and Bob Heath of Rockfish, NC, and her loving poodle Zoey.

After graduating from Seventy-First High School, Pat went on to cosmetology school and served as a beautician in Raeford for years, sharing laughs, secrets, and joy with many of the town's residents.  Pat never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything.  Her teenage friends and former co-workers remained dear to her throughout her life.  She was "mother" to many others besides Donna, including Sara, Melanie, Jennifer, and Kimberly and shared their struggles, joys, family vacations, laughs, and great food including her famous "Rockfish Taters".

A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday at 3 pm on March 20, 2022, at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford, NC.  Time with family and friends will be held there from 2-3 pm.
