Roger (Cricket) Williams

 Mr. Roger (Cricket) Williams of Raeford went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the age of 71.

Roger was born in Richmond VA. on January 19, 1950, to the late Robert (Willie) Williams and Frances English Williams. He served in the United States Marine Corp. Roger was a member of Galatia Presbyterian Church. He was the owner and operator of the Bargain Barn in Raeford, NC, and a member of the NC- Illinois Hunting Club.  Roger was a wonderful husband, father, Pappy and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Wanda S. Williams of Raeford, NC, a daughter Amber W. Banta and her husband Tim of Wilmington, NC; a grandson Everett Banta of Wilmington, NC; god-daughter Renea Hubbard Clark of Fayetteville, NC; a sister Kaye McDonald and her husband Warren of Fayetteville, NC; a brother Ronald Williams of Fayetteville, NC;. his extended hunting club family, Johnny Hubbard, Bill Hubbard, Clyde Webb, Steve Printz, two special friends, David Daughtey and Duane Gilliam.

Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, November 12, 2021, at Crumpler Funeral Home,  131 Harris Avenue Raeford, NC

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday November 13, 2021, at Galatia Presbyterian Church,    8800 Galatia Church Road, Fayetteville, NC with Reverend Brett Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
